Coquette Inspired Wedding Boudoir

Is anyone else still loving the coquette trend that erupted over the Winter season?? I’m already seeing some people say it’s dying out, but I’m holding on. Bows, lace, soft girl aesthetic — I’M HERE FOR IT! So this week I’m bringing you coquette x bridal x boudoir, with my Muse Mikaela. Turns out the wedding/bridal aesthetic and coquette style have a lot in common.

I haven’t had a photoshoot that was explicitly bridal in quite some time, so I’m super thankful to Mikaela for helping me update that part of my work so that any of you engaged babes looking for inspiration can find it here! Obviously, we started with a bangin’ moodboard to get the vibes right and then got to work. Mikaela brought the cutest lingerie that was exactly what we needed for this! I also added a new lens filter called ‘white mist’ that gives a super dreamy, hazy effect to photos that I LOVE.

As always, go follow Mikaela on instagram because she’s for real the best of the best, and scroll on to see what beauty we created together!

Why Wedding Boudoir?

A boudoir photoshoot is so many things; an opportunity to connect with yourself, an artistic exploration, a self love celebration. For a lot of people getting married, it can also be an exciting gift for the morning of their wedding.

In light of that, getting married is a really big deal, and is a time full of planning and celebration. Booking yourself a boudoir session will not only provide the perfect gift for your spouse-to-be, but is also an excuse to take a break from planning for a day, and honor yourself as an individual before walking down the aisle. You are whole, and you are worthy of being celebrated on your own, too. It’s also a great time to get a major pre-wedding confidence boost!

The best thing about the Bloom Boudoir Experience, is that making you feel relaxed and confident is the goal. So you get to sit down and just be pampered for a couple hours before we even start the photoshoot. No stressing about doing your own hair and makeup beforehand, we have you covered. Just relax and enjoy, babe!

How Far in Advance Should You Book A Wedding Boudoir Session?

The absolute minimum I would recommend doing a boudoir photoshoot is 4 weeks before your wedding. We want to allow time for editing, as well as production & shipping time for products. For example, albums take between 2-4 weeks to be in your hands.

But honestly, I recommend reaching out to your boudoir photographer 6+ months in advance. This is for a couple of reasons. First, you’re already dealing with wedding planning, and you’ll be adding on more with a boudoir session. Don’t stress yourself out by squeezing it all in last minute! Instead getting in touch months in advance will allow you to blend in your planning a bit more, and spread out your preparations over time instead of all at once.

Second, the further in advance you book, the more time you have to utilize a payment plan if needed. I offer pre-session payment plans so that you can get everything you want, and be able to pay it off in smaller amounts before your photoshoot. That way, when you arrive to the studio on session day, you can fully relax knowing everything is taken care of already, and focus on having fun and really enjoying the experience to the fullest.

So in love with how dreamy and soft these photos turned out!! Would love to create more dreamy boudoir goodness with you too — engaged or not ;)
