Bright Studio Boudoir Photoshoot

Keeping in the spirit of chronological order, this is another throwback to my second boudoir shoot, and the first of the year 2020! This was just a few weeks before the lockdown, which was a blessing and a curse. I was so so happy we were able to accomplish the shoot, yet soooooo bummed I wouldn’t be able to do another in a while. But, after how well this went, and getting to shoot boudoir in a studio for the first time, it definitely gave me something to hang onto and look forward to doing again!

I had photographed Arial before, and we were friends from high school, so shooting with her was a total breeze, not to mention she is drop dead gorgeous. The studio we were in is one of my favorite places to shoot in Portland, Daylight Creative Space. It’s flooded with beautiful, bright light that gave us light and pretty, but also dramaaaaa. It was really fun to experiment and play around.

When we started the photoshoot, Arial expressed being afraid of looking awkward or not knowing how to pose. But, as you’ll see in these photos, a little bit of direction in posing goes a long way, and she totally nailed it! I love helping my muses learn poses, and be fluid about them so that they feel more comfortable and natural. So if you’re thinking you’d have the same issue, worry not my friend. I come prepared with a custom list of written ideas, photo references, and drawings (yes, you will see my michaelangelo stick figure drawings of poses for you) that give us a ton of variety. Plus, if you’re not comfortable doing a pose, we move right on to the next! I’m here to direct you and guide you, but one of my priorities is making sure you are comfortable. So please, keep on scrolling and enjoy this bright, gorgeous studio boudoir! xo

Malina is one of the brightest photographers I’ve had the pleasure to be around. She is so creative and makes every experience with her so fun! I’ve had a few shoots with her but recently tried out her Boudoir side of the business and let me tell you.. I’ve never felt so comfortable in my own skin. She turned me into a goddess and now I have pictures to cherish forever
