Minimal Studio Maternity Photos - Portland, OR
Two of my faves are back and this time they brought a little extra - so incredibly special to have photographed this family from before they were married, engaged, wedding, and now maternity! Since I’m a bit late and catching up on blogs, their beautiful baby boy is already earth-side and so perfect! But let’s walk memory lane and allow me to share with you this minimal, editorial studio maternity session.
Abri, as always, had a vision for their maternity photos. To sum it up, she said 90’s R&B music video. Y’all, I think we nailed it. We started the session off with Abri solo, and that mama is GLOWING!! She went with this denim on denim outfit that was so on point. Then of course, we had to bring Paul in for the rest!

We had half of a wardrobe change, and added a hubby! We also switched to this creme paper backdrop, to give a little more contrast, and for that lighter, editorial vibe. I love how minimal everything was for this maternity session, these two don’t need help to be the stars of the show. Couple maternity photos are so special, the two of you continuing your journey together and stepping into new roles as parents.
These two braved the fire escape for some shots, despite both of them being very afraid of heights!! It gets me every time how much my clients are like me, willing to face our fears for a great photo, haha. Least of all was I expecting them to get on the stairs! These two look totally effortless, they played it off well!
Back inside we ended with a few more photos, and one more wardrobe change to wrap up this studio maternity photoshoot. We even brought back some poses from their engagement session, so that was just too cute and brought back all the feels. Obviously these two did amazing, and now these memories will live on for their family forever.
