Hi friends! I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! Mine was pretty low-key, to be honest Halloween felt like it was over after my sister’s Halloween party like 3 weeks before, haha!

Anyway, we are still rolling in the fall blog posts, and this week I’m excited to share this sweet couple’s session at Cathedral Park in Portland! This was one of my hot spots this time last year, Cathedral Park is a great place in the fall for bright colors, and lots of spots for a variety of backdrops! It’s a staple pretty much all year long, but there’s something extra magical in the fall there.

Lauren & Tim have been married for 2 years, and she got in touch with me just looking for some fun photos of her and her husband in the fall colors, just because! A.k.a my favorite reason for photos :) When we met up, she told me she would especially like photos of them laughing - which they didn’t really need help making happen! These two were so fun to work with, I hope you all enjoy looking through these as much as I do!

I’ve been reminded a few times this week of something that I think is worth mentioning every once in a while for everyone to hear, especially with Lauren & Tim for inspiration. There is always going to be something we are waiting for - waiting to lose weight, waiting to get new clothes, waiting to feel more confident. I encourage anyone who has been waiting for something like this before they get photos taken, and just keep putting them off, to use this as a sign that you shouldn’t put them off anymore. Life is fleeting and people can be taken out of our lives in the blink of an eye. Photographs can often be one of, if not the only thing that hold memories of our loved ones. I encourage portrait sessions “just because,” and I hope this message sticks with you the next time you feel like you have to wait before getting pictures taken of yourself or with your loved ones. xo
