Happy Wednesday my friends! It’s December 2nd, and my home is completely Christmas-ified, but I’m finally getting some time to catch up on blogging session from the fall, you don’t mind do you? I’m already missing the colors, Portland really puts on a show that time of year and I always make sure to take advantage of it! Fall sessions are so fun, getting to take people out on adventures, and photograph them enjoying all the best the season has to offer. The trees and leaves are my favorite background, and there are lots of parks and places to go shooting.

Cathedral Park is one of the best (and consequently, the busiest) Fall photo spots in all of Portland. You get so many beautiful elements in one place; you’ve got the bridge, big Fall trees, cute park benches and walkways, and of course the bubble guy! There’s also the river that you can walk right up to with trees, bushes, and rocks to walk along, which is just one more background to use. It’s a Portland staple, and easily one of my top recommendations when planning a session.

I’m excited to share this set with Arial today, who I’ve had the pleasure of photographing several times now. When I announced my Fall mini sessions, she messaged me right away and said she wanted me to make her feel like a Fall goddess, and she brought that energy! SO much fun getting creative and just emphasizing her slightly witchy outfit against the stunning foliage at Cathedral Park. The best reason to do a photoshoot is for no reason at all. We got to catch up, walk around, and get creative, gorgeous shots of this beauty. She was a champ, putting up with my “okay, just one more!” When in reality, I constantly have “one more” idea.
