Colorful Engagement Session at Cathedral Park - Portland, OR

I love how small the world seems when you’re around awesome people ✨

I was so lucky to be connected with Shy and Anthony through my last beautiful bride Abri. These two needed a photographer for, you guessed it, their plan b intimate wedding because, 2020 (‘nuff said.) They booked my elopement package, which also gives you an engagement session. I always ALWAYS encourage every couple getting married to do an e-sesh for so many reasons, here are a few:

Why do an Engagement Session with your Wedding Photographer?

  1. Gives us a chance to get to know each other even better in person, and still in a photo-taking environment that is under a lot less pressure. We can chat, take our time, and gives you a chance to see how I work before the big day! You’ll already know who I am so when the wedding comes, there’s no tension or awkward feelings when it comes to your photos.

  2. The time that couples are engaged is typically pretty short (in the grand scheme of things,) which makes it incredibly special and unique. You’ve just made promises for the future, and are in a transition between dating and marriage! It’s a very exciting time, and rightfully deserves to be documented. It’s also a great way to illustrate your full love story.

  3. Engagement sessions are the perfect opportunity for getting photos for save the dates, invitations, a photo printed guest book, your wedding website, or photo prints to use as decor for your wedding!

I love getting creative and making something new and unique for each couple I work with. If you’re still on the fence or have questions, hit me up! I’m always happy to help!

Now let’s take a happy scroll through Shy & Anthony’s engagement session at Cathedral Park! Due to miss ‘rona, they had to change their wedding location as well, which originally was supposed to be here, so they decided to do their engagements there instead and I can’t think of a better way to compromise in such a weird situation.
