Intimate Wedding at the Oregon Coast - Cannon Beach, OR
The Oregon coast could not have given Shy & Anthony a better day to get married. It really did feel like it was absolute destiny that they were wed here. Their original plans were thwarted by you-know-what like everyone else, so Cathderal Park went from wedding spot to engagement photo spot (you can see their e-sesh here!) Although I wholeheartedly believe that they could’ve gotten married under a troll bridge and it would have been just as sweet. It was a great lesson in remembering what your wedding is really about - you two saying yes to forever together! There’s always something that will not go according to plan, or the weather will change against your favor, or a worldwide pandemic will force you to entertain most of your guests by video chat. But at the end of the day, you get married, and that (and your photos!) will stay with you forever.
It was a fairly busy day at Cannon beach, but once Anthony started reading his vows to Shy, somehow there was nobody else around except the two of them. They rolled with the punches, and the waves! Perfection was thrown out the window and fun, playfulness, and those just married feels took the driver seat as they and their guests headed to run around by the ocean. They danced with each other, caught up with friends, and even ditched their shoes to run into the water. Like I said, Oregon did not disappoint us this day, and ended the evening with the most beautiful sunset, painting color over the horizon and Haystack Rock. I left this wedding with sore calves from running around in the sand, and a full heart from what I had witnessed.
Shy & Anthony, you two are one in a million, and I’m so happy I was the lucky one to be able to document your love and celebration.
