Summer Sunset Wedding at the Lake

You oughtta know by now that NOTHING - not even ‘rona - can stop love.

I am so excited to be sharing Abri & Paul’s gorgeous backyard wedding on Lacamas Lake. Like a lot of couples this year, their original plans had to be changed due to the state of the world. The wedding took place at their family friend’s home right on the lake. The set up was so sweet and cozy, including rugs and couches, mini leather stools, and a wooden triangular arch that served the background of their ceremony. And obviously, you can’t have a backyard wedding without lawn games! Just a little way down the yard, you walk right up to a little dock on the lake. Despite everything being different than what they originally envisioned (which will still happen next year instead!) it turned out to be such a warm, tear-filled celebration overflowing with love from everyone attending. They were crying, their family was crying, I was crying — it was an emotional day! I have been working with Abri & Paul’s family for years, so every time I get to photograph another milestone/event/fun shoot for them it’s such an honor. The universe gave us the gift of the most beautiful sunset light at the end of the day, just wait ‘til you see towards the bottom…but Abri & Paul were the ones truly glowing 😭
