Boudoir Pose Ideas — On the Floor
Welcome back, Muse! Last week on the blog we kicked off this series with boudoir pose ideas on the wall, so check that out too if you haven’t yet! This week, we’re getting down on the floor and looking at some must have poses to add to your boudoir mood board! The floor essentially gives you two options — you’re either lying down or you’re sitting. But there’s so many ways to do that! Sitting on the floor also gives you a comfortable position to do some close ups of your face too, so there’s a little hidden posing tip for you. Some of these poses can also be done on a bed, and vice versa, however some poses need the harder stability of the floor to really get the emphasis of shapes! Let’s dive right in and check out some of these prime examples.
Lying Down on the Floor
All the ways you can think of lying on the floor, it’s probably a pose if you arch your back! Some look more candid, others more posed. Even the direction of light can change the same pose drastically. You never want to be lying flat on the floor, though — always have at least two limbs bent so you don’t just look like you’re taking a nice nap 😂
Sitting on the Floor
Sitting poses are extremely versatile, and typically more relaxed than lying down poses funny enough! Sitting is more active looking, so you can be in more relaxed positions, or easier to perform poses and still have a lot of impact in your final photo. Your arms, hands, and face are typically the main focus with seated poses, but full body shots are still beautiful.
